Located on Folsom between 4th and 5th street, Oola Restaurant & Bar has served the SOMA neighborhood for over 12 years with locally sourced sustainable French-American cuisine by Chef Ola Fendert in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re enjoying happy hour with friends, hosting an upscale dinner, brunching as San Franciscans do, or just looking to escape the hustle & bustle of the Financial District, Oola is the perfect escape for any occasion.

Designed by award-winning architect Suhil Shatara with interiors by Jabarra Athas, Oola’s casual, contemporary dining environment is well-matched to the restaurant’s cuisine.


Our Chef

Ola Fendert:
After arriving in San Francisco in 1989 from his homeland Sweden, Chef Ola Fendert embarked on an impressive culinary journey in some of the city’s finest establishments, including Scala’s Bistro, Alain Rondelli, Plouf, Chez Papa Bistro and Cheze Mama. In 2004, he opened Oola Restaurant & Bar.


Our menu
Oola Restaurant & bar sources from the Bay Area’s best produce, meat and fish to create a fun mix of French-American food, including succulent octopus, delicious sliders, and our signature 24 hour marinated Baby Back Pork Ribs with soy-ginger glaze.

We feature an inventive artisanal cocktail menu along with craft beers and fine wines for an all-around dining and lounge experience.
